UAA is the acronym commonly used for the Universal Audio Architecture.
Initiated in 2002, it is now the standard for hardware and class drivers
for audio devices for Windows operating systems. The UAA supports Universal Serial Bus (USB),
IEEE 1394 (i.e., FireWire) and Intel High Definition Audio devices.
